Sandra & Tony
WE LOVE TO HEAR HOW YOU MET! WAS IT LOVE AT FIRST SITE, BEST FRIENDS, SLOW BURN!?
We first met at university in Gold Coast. When we both graduated, Tony went back to Sydney and I moved to Toowoomba. We were in long distance relationship for a few years before Tony decide to move to Toowoomba.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR ENGAGEMENT! WHO POPPED THE QUESTION?
Tony proposed at the top of the pyramid at Girriween National Park in Stanthorpe. The main attraction of Girrawen National Park is the natural rock formation. I really enjoy hiking, Tony wasn’t a big fan but that day he made the effort to go “looking for a rock”.
DESCRIBE THE PLANNING PROCESS/LEAD UP TO YOUR BIG DAY.
Tbh, we didn’t really plan anything for the actual wedding day. We have always been very keen on eloping, instead of having a big wedding so we went online and found Honeyfig. Gelisa from Honeyfig planned everything for us. We literally just showed up. It was so stress free.
We’ve never been to Flinder island or even heard of it but when Gelisa suggested to us, we thought it would be the perfect location for us to elope there.
The amazing team all flew into Flinders Island and made the day happen. The team included our photographer, videographer, celebrant, hair/makeup artist. They also bought over the most beautiful wedding bouquet. The team made the day so relaxing for us. It was just perfect.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT OF THE DAY? BOTH OF YOU TO ANSWER!
We enjoyed every moment of the day. The weather was beautiful, the beach was so peaceful and instead of stressing about the day, we actually had a very lazy morning and celebrated “us”. It was definitely a very unique experience getting eloped in Flinder island.
