Jess & Pete
Jess and Pete love the Tasmanian wilderness, and so their 15 acre property at the base of Mt Arthur was the perfect choice for their February wedding.
These guys upturned typical wedding traditions to incorporate their own ideas- from Pete and daughter Violet walking down the aisle to Jess waiting at the arbour, to standing courses for their guests as they danced, sang, mingled and made merry into the evening. Amongst this beautiful landscape they opted for simple, beautiful touches, keeping the event as green and low waste as possible. Jess' beautiful gown was found second-hand, and both Jess and the previous owner were so excited that it could be worn again.
The couple chose not to have a bridal party, or any strict reception schedule. However, Jess' closest friends and daughter Violet helped Jess get ready in the afternoon- a really fun way for Jess to have some special time with her besties, without traditional expectations getting in the way.
Family and friends were invted to camp, and Jess and Pete said that waking up to their guests the next day and having a bbq breakkie was just as good as the wedding itself. What a perfect way to celebrate!
