Amy & Alex
Amy and Alex chose to get hitched on one of Tassie's cutest beaches- Boat Harbour on the north-west coast.
The couple collected many bits and pieces for over a year, from vintage wine glasses, to the vases to the table. They wanted to do things in an environmentally friendly way, which is why they collected so much from op shops, made so much themselves and chose things like palm leaf plates, which could be composted after they were used. Every velvet cushion was handmade by the Bride's mum and grandmother, and every pallet table by her father and uncles. The incredible structure on the beach was designed and built by my uncle from South Africa, a bronze and land artist, who has created huge, incredible structures made of all-natural materials all over the world.
Many of the flowers were put together eclectically the afternoon before the wedding by bridesmaids, aunties, grandmother, cousins, mum and the bride, whilst Alex and his groomsmen strung up the fairy lights.
For Alex and Amy, it was all about how these details made them feel on the day, and creating that same feeling for their guests. And in return for their efforts, they had the most magical day surrounded by love.
